About The Position

Great Lakes Wine & Spirits is hiring a full-time Shuttle Driver for its warehouse depots in Grand Rapids. The driver transports product by tractor/trailer between the Grand Rapids depot and cross-docks throughout Michigan, including locations such as Saginaw, Highland Park, Detroit, Kalamazoo, Gaylord, and Traverse City. The role also involves unloading, separating, and staging product; operating material-handling equipment; and supporting other depots as needed. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, with start times varying between 9 P.M. and 12 A.M. Start times may fluctuate, and occasional Fridays may be required based on holiday schedules and business needs. The work takes place on the road in all weather conditions and is physically demanding, including separating and loading cases and occasionally lifting up to 55 pounds. Pay is $31.32 per hour. Requirements

Be at least 21 years old.
Hold a chauffeur license and a Class A CDL with airbrake endorsement.
Have hi-lo and pallet jack experience.
Be willing to work in all weather conditions.
Be willing to take direction and work independently.
Be able to occasionally lift up to 55 pounds.
Have an acceptable driving record and maintain a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record.
Complete satisfactory pre-employment screenings, including a criminal background and credit check, DOT medical evaluation, breath alcohol test, agility (lift) test, and drug screen.

Responsibilities

Deliver product by tractor/trailer between the Grand Rapids depot and cross-docks throughout Michigan.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
Follow Department of Transportation and state laws and regulations, including hours-of-service and ELD requirements.
Unload product at cross-docks.
Assist in separating and staging product.
Operate power and manual pallet jacks.
Operate hi-lo equipment.
Clean up the work area as needed.
Take loads to other depots to cover other drivers.
Complete other tasks as assigned by supervision.
Follow applicable employee policies, contracts, agreements, and work rules.
Cooperate with management and staff and follow applicable MLCC rules and regulations.
