About The Position

The Shuttle Driver transports passengers to and from assigned locations. Depending on contractual needs, service may take place around or near an airport, commercial building, hospital, sports arena, entertainment venue, educational facility, or warehouse. The role is suitable for someone entering or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education; on-the-job training is provided. A CDL with a specific class and endorsement may be required.

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older.
No experience required; on-the-job training is provided.
No high school diploma, GED, or college degree is required.
The role may require a CDL with a specific class and endorsement.

Nice To Haves

One year of prior work experience as a passenger shuttle driver is preferred.

Responsibilities

Transport, load, and unload passengers at designated pickup and drop-off locations.
Ensure passengers are safely loaded and unloaded, including operating specialized equipment such as wheelchair lifts and tie-downs.
Assist passengers with luggage as needed.
Regularly inspect vehicles for unsafe conditions or maintenance issues, and perform routine cleaning and bus maintenance.
Meet patrons who need assistance traveling to and from airport locations and lots.
Inspect the shuttle for preexisting damage and record information using an electronic device or manual ticket.
Provide courteous customer service and answer guest inquiries, including giving directions.
Maintain and enforce the bus evacuation plan and coordinate evacuation activities as appropriate.
Immediately report incidents or claims to the Operations Manager or Shift Lead.
Refuel and maintain shuttle equipment and fuel-use logs.
Maintain a clean work environment and disinfect the shuttle after each use.
Perform pre- and post-inspections to confirm proper operating conditions and compliance with Department of Transportation and safety standards.
