Shuttle Driver FT or PT Split Shifts - No CDL required

About The Position

We are seeking shuttle drivers to work in the Worcester area. These are steady, local routes. We operate walk-on 14-passenger vehicles which do not require a CDL. Non-CDL drivers earn $19/hour to start. Applicants who already have a CDL (w/ P endorsement) earn $21/hour to start. VPA offers weekly payroll. Currently, we are seeking FT or PT year-round drivers to work 6am-9am and/or 2pm-6pm Monday through Friday. Some flexibility will be needed. We will consider staff who can work 2, 3, or 5 shifts per week. Other hours are also available.

Requirements

Valid class D (Non-CDL) license in good standing
Must be at least 20 years old
Valid DOT Medical card required
Background checks and driving tests will be conducted

Nice To Haves

CDL (w/ P endorsement) earns extra pay
Professional driving experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Greeting patrons in a polite manner and assisting them in any way we can
Safely shuttling customers to various destinations
Opening and closing doors for patrons
Adhering to all traffic laws/signs to ensure the safest possible operation of our shuttles
Communicating effectively with customers and co-workers. This includes radio contact with management, shuttle drivers, and lot attendants
Completing required pre-trip inspections to meet federal as well as company safety requirements
Recording passenger counts and trip times
Completing necessary paperwork involved in daily operations
Assisting in equipment set up and break down (i.e. signs, cones, etc.)
Sweeping shuttles and removing debris to ensure cleanliness
Communicating mechanical problems with shuttles to management
Complying with company procedures for shuttle operations
