About The Position

A.T. Still University is seeking a non-exempt, part-time Shuttle Driver on its Kirksville, Missouri campus. The Shuttle Driver transports medical and dental school interview candidates between the Kirksville regional airport, local hotels, and the university campus, providing a safe, timely, welcoming, and professional experience. The position reports to the Assistant Director - Admissions Technology.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Ability to drive a mini-van shuttle.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to lift 50 pounds and handle luggage as needed.
Personable, punctual, and reliable.
Flexible work schedule.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

Three months of experience in passenger transportation or a similar role.
Knowledge of the local area, including hotels and airport terminals.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a university-provided shuttle or vehicle to transport passengers between the airport, hotels, and university campus.
Follow scheduled routes and pickup times to provide timely service.
Keep current records of pickups and drop-offs, passenger names, and each trip’s date and time.
Assist passengers with luggage and answer questions about schedules or the local area.
Provide passengers with a welcoming and courteous experience.
Keep the shuttle clean and well-maintained, conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and promptly report maintenance issues.
Follow traffic laws, university policies, and safety regulations.
Maintain an active and valid driver’s license.
Communicate professionally with passengers, hotel staff, and dispatch teams.
Coordinate with the scheduling team when pickup or drop-off times or locations change.
Maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with candidates and staff.
Meet with the Assistant Director-Admissions Support when asked to receive timely updates.
