About The Position
DoubleTree by Hilton South Bend Downtown is seeking a dependable and guest-focused Shuttle Driver to provide safe and courteous transportation for hotel guests and airline crews. This position plays an important role in creating a positive first and last impression of our hotel through exceptional service and hospitality. The Shuttle Driver provides safe and reliable transportation services to our guests in the South Bend, IN area. This role is pivotal in enhancing the guest experience by ensuring timely and courteous shuttle rides to and from local destinations.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Flexible availability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to assist guests with luggage and mobility needs.
Nice To Haves
- Previous driving experience preferred, especially in passenger transport.
- Good knowledge of the South Bend area and surrounding routes.
- Previous hospitality or transportation experience preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Operate the hotel shuttle in a safe and efficient manner according to company policies.
- Transport guests to and from airports, local attractions, and other designated locations.
- Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the shuttle vehicle.
- Assist guests with luggage and provide excellent customer service at all times.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations to ensure passenger safety.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or incidents promptly to management.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
- Maintain transportation logs and required documentation.
- Provide information about the hotel and local area attractions when appropriate.
- Assist with guest service needs and hotel operations as assigned.
