Shuttle Driver | Up to $20/Hr & Weekends Off | North Scottsdale
About The Position
The Shuttle Driver at Christian Brothers Automotive provides safe, reliable transportation for guests to and from the shop in a branded company vehicle. The role includes greeting guests, helping them get in and out of the shuttle, keeping the vehicle clean and comfortable, and following traffic laws and safety procedures. The driver also maintains a timely route, may assist with parts handling and other errands, and reports vehicle maintenance needs to the service manager. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with weekends off. The opening is at an independently owned and operated Christian Brothers Automotive franchise in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Requirements
- Valid state driver's license.
- Meet the required insurance driving-record parameters.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with staff, vendors, and guests.
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Dependability for the Monday-through-Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. schedule.
- Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear; occasionally balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch; and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
- Close, distance, peripheral, and color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe shuttle transportation for guests to and from the shop.
- Treat guests respectfully and provide a high standard of customer service.
- Drive the branded company shuttle while following traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Keep shuttle routes timely.
- Assist passengers in getting in and out of vehicles.
- Keep the shuttle clean, tidy, comfortable, and organized.
- Assist the shop with receiving and processing incoming and outgoing parts and with other errands as needed.
- Notify the service manager when the shuttle requires servicing, such as oil changes, tires, cleaning, or general maintenance.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Learn automotive repair service terminology and processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
