About The Position

The shuttle driver moves finished product through the Sauder complex in a safe and efficient manner. The position requires a CDL and regular attendance. Sauder encourages candidates to apply even if they do not meet every listed requirement.

Requirements

• A CDL is required.
• Regular attendance is required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload live-bed trailers to and from conveyors, and drop and hook trailers.
• Maintain radio communications with the shuttle dispatcher.
• Verify equipment is in safe working condition and notify the dispatcher when repairs are needed.
• Transport material safely, verify gates are in place, and ensure product is secure.
• Load and unload pallets.
• Contribute to setting and achieving goals consistent with Process, Department, and Company goals.
• Pursue continuous improvement in safety, quality, productivity, relations, and work skills.
• Communicate effectively to build strong, positive team relations.
• Attend and participate in team meetings.
• Work effectively as part of a three-shift team and with other teams on the same shift.
• Maintain regular attendance.
