About The Position

This is a Part-time position currently funded at .76 FTE (approximately 1,580 hours per year). The role provides safe, reliable, courteous, and efficient bus transportation service to all members of the PCC community. The Shuttle Bus Driver actively monitors traffic conditions to ensure road safety while remaining attentive to the overall environment on the shuttle bus. This role requires daily interaction with the public in a variety of situations and may involve working independently with minimal direct supervision while on route.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of six months experience in public service.
Position requires effective interaction with customers and/or the public.
Must possess and maintain a valid Commercial Driver’s license for operation of motor vehicle.
Must have an acceptable driving record including five years of accident free driving, with no recent moving violations.
Must be able to pass a personal and criminal history background check.
Must pass a physical examination and submit to periodic drug testing.

Responsibilities

Conducts routine safety inspections to ensure vehicle compliance and readiness.
Communicates accurate and timely information to customers.
Prepares and delivers clear verbal and written reports to supervisors regarding job status and any operational concerns.
