About The Position

The Shuttle Bus Driver is responsible for supplying transportation services to students and performing general maintenance duties throughout the center. The Shuttle Bus Driver transports students by van, shuttle bus, and automobile to various vocational sites, medical centers, recreational activities, courts, etc. The role also involves inspecting and reporting on the mechanical condition of vehicles, maintaining accurate and complete trip reports, and performing alarm and patrol duties when not driving to protect life and property. This is a Service Contract Act (SCA) Position with an hourly rate of $17.50.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent.
Valid State driver’s license and an acceptable driving record required.
Required to pass a drug screen in compliance with our Substance Abuse and Drug-Free Workplace policy.
Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a nationwide criminal background check.

Nice To Haves

Six months work-related experience preferred.
Preferred Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with passenger endorsement in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

Maintaining accurate and complete trip reports of each use of any vehicle.
Performing alarm and patrol duties in assigned areas to protect life and property against theft, misappropriation, vandalism, fire, flood, or similar disaster, suspicious acts and/or persons, and other unusual conditions when not performing driving duties.
