Requirements

Valid class A, AZ, or Class 1 license
Clean driver’s abstract
Forklift experience
Safe driving skills and ability to operate tractor trailer units in tight spaces safely and without damaging the unit
Strong verbal and written communication skills, allowing effective communication with both internal and external customers
Knowledge of city roads

Responsibilities

Shunt trailers in and out of the Service Centre bays
Pick up and deliver equipment to customers
Keep the yards organized
Communicate with the service team to ensure that equipment is staged and available when required to maintain a continuous flow of work
Provide support as required to pick up parts, organize the parts room and tooling
Provide other hands-on support to Management when required, such as yard maintenance, snow clearing, and salting
Shunting trailers in/out of bays as required
Organize and stage trailers for repairs
Ensure afternoon shift trailers are staged properly
Pick up parts when required
Meet with service team regularly to maintain communication
Identify any issues with parking and flow in yard and work with management to resolve
Maintain yards – arrangement and cleanliness
Ensure all safety standards are followed at all times
Assist with cleanup
Maintain tractor as required to internal and government standards
Greet internal and external customers and suppliers professionally upon arrival
Pick up and deliver customer trailers for the service department in a timely and safe manner
Other work as assigned by Service Manager or delegate
