About The Position

Bartle & Gibson Showrooms is seeking a Showroom Supervisor who enjoys assisting customers, providing excellent customer service, and selling with integrity. This role involves working with clients pre and post-installation to ensure exceptional customer experiences, leading to referrals. The Showroom Supervisor is a natural leader who takes initiative to improve the work environment. As a BGS Supervisor, you will communicate business objectives to your team, lead the department by providing high-quality workmanship and service, and ensure customer satisfaction. You will report directly to the Regional Manager and ensure the department team consistently meets performance expectations in customer experience, sales growth, retail execution, and profitability. Requirements

  • Minimum Grade 12 education required.
  • Minimum of two years’ sales experience.
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly learn new systems.
  • Understand the basics of design and interior decorating.

  • Prior Plumbing Sales and Management experience is strongly preferred.
  • Outgoing, positive attitude and strong leadership skills.
  • Very organized with high attention to detail.
  • Quick responsiveness and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and strengthen relationships with a wide range of suppliers and customers.
  • Encourage and maintain a culture that values excellent customer service through effective training, supervision, coaching, and performance management.
  • Lead by example and consistently deliver an excellent customer experience.
  • Assist in resolving customer/team member concerns or conflicts in a courteous, professional, and respectful manner.
  • Provide product information including availability, accurate pricing quotations, and follow-up on quotes, orders, and delivery information.
  • Authorize and ensure the validity of customer returns, exchanges, check authorizations, voids, and discretion discounts.
  • Hold team members accountable for providing an excellent customer experience and recognize those who excel.
  • Assign work to Showroom team members according to availability, skills, and developmental needs.
  • Assist in effective planning and scheduling to ensure the department is appropriately staffed.
  • Provide professional development to Showroom employees, offer timely and constructive performance feedback, and provide guidance and opportunities that enhance employee career growth.
  • Ensure that all products are coded in inventory, bin located, with current pricing displayed.
  • Ensure discontinued items are transferred to clearance and prepare for annual year-end inventory count.
  • Understand and enforce compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all matters.
  • Other duties as required.
