The SM is responsible for assisting in executing and achieving all corporate visual merchandising strategies and business goals. The SM effectively assists with all day-to-day functions of stores including the guest experience, visual merchandising, and operational excellence.

Requirements

  • 1-year experience in retail visual merchandising or design.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in retail management, visual merchandising, graphic design, interior design, marketing or related field required; Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of education.

Responsibilities

  • Seek ways to support the sales team and drive overall sales
  • Deliver exceptional performance while assisting in the sales (TO) process
  • Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of the merchandise; ensure selling staff is fluent in all aspects of product knowledge
  • Maximize all in store marketing events, i.e. VIP Events, Private Events
  • Manage and drive 100% compliance of all visual processes
  • Control store payroll and expenses and maintain budgets, continually striving to reduce costs
  • Manage store inventory
  • Assist in training staff in all areas of responsibility
  • Build and maintain good communication with members of corporate office, property management and other stores
  • Facilitate the prompt repair of store equipment as required
  • Exhibit proficiency in computer programs used by the Company including Word, Excel
  • Implement and maintain all corporate merchandising directives and ensure execution of effective merchandising strategies
  • Ensuring proper signage is being utilized to effectively market in-store products
  • Take pride and accountability for the visual appearance of the store
  • Responsible to maintain a selling floor that is neat, clean, organized and reflects the correct visual image at all times
  • Ensure presentation of all displays, fixtures and all visual areas are reflective of current visual direction.
  • The SM may occasionally perform duties such as unloading trailers or merchandising as needed for proper store operation.
  • The SM will also perform other duties as assigned from time to time; have the ability to lift, lower, push or pull furniture up to and in excess of 100lbs and to stand for long periods of time.
