About The Position

A Showroom Development Representative is responsible for both showroom support as well as sales development. Their showroom responsibilities include assisting clients with their project needs, providing design suggestions and application recommendations, creating an effortless and enjoyable shopping experience for the customer. Their sales development responsibilities, which expand once their showroom responsibilities are fully learned, include growing client accounts by focusing on cultivating relationships with current customers while also pursuing new accounts out in the field, distributing and promoting all new product lines.

Requirements

  • College Degree focused on Design or equivalent experience
  • 1-3 years of retail sales or customer service experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Professional Phone, Email, and Computer skills
  • Knowledge of color, tile and stone characteristics
  • Proven sales record and high sales aptitude
  • Drivers License (must provide current MVR)
  • Ability to make sound, independent judgments
  • Excellent understanding of design and color
  • Ability to travel within the designated sales territory
  • Flexibility, self-motivation, and drive to meet and exceed sales goals
  • Take initiative to plan, organize, and complete assignments independently
  • Able to work independently and work effectively as a member of a team
  • Able to handle regular interruptions to serve the needs of others while maintaining focus on multiple priorities and short and long term deadlines
  • Maintain the highest level of integrity and confidentiality
  • Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with clients, maintaining a warm and professional manner with a positive client relations and customer service mindset

Nice To Haves

  • College Degree or equivalent Design Degree preferred
  • Prior experience in the tile and stone industry
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Courteously help trade and walk-in customers select and order materials
  • Answer customer questions in-person, via email, and on the phone
  • Properly invoice orders
  • Efficiently and accurately process orders and credits
  • Receive payments at the time of invoicing or on-account
  • Answer (or find answers) to customer question on product availability, design-related and technical questions
  • Provide clients with current pricing, product changes, and order status
  • Set up and maintain client displays and merchandising samples
  • Accurately receive materials into inventory
  • Pull, pack, and ship orders accurately and efficiently
  • Procure ordered materials from other vendors, if necessary
  • Facilitate returned merchandise with management approval and arrange appropriate reimbursement/credit
  • Assist with conducting inventory counts
  • Maintain showroom and sample department organization and presentation
  • Report all sales activities to the branch manager or designated sales supervisor
  • Participate in weekly branch meeting
  • Attend weekly corporate sales meeting
  • Service existing accounts with the goal of nurturing relationships and increasing sales
  • Keep clients informed about new products and offerings through the organization and execution of informational product presentations
  • Monitor competition by gathering current information on pricing, products, and merchandising techniques
  • Conduct cold calls and visit job sites to pursue new leads
  • Identify and set up new accounts to increase market share and bolster overall sales volume
  • Analyze client product needs, growth patterns, and market trends
  • Visit job sites in the event of a job problem and follow proper observation and recording protocol
  • Promote Bedrosians products at various tradeshows and special events
  • Maintain and increase professional and technical knowledge by reviewing product literature, manuals, and manufacturer bulletins, as well as attending vendor/manufacturer seminars
