About The Position

Bartle & Gibson showrooms are seeking a full-time Showroom Consultant who has a passion for interior design and creating beautiful spaces. This role involves assisting customers, both by appointment and walk-ins, providing fantastic customer service, and selling with integrity. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with clients pre and post-installation to ensure an exceptional customer experience, leading to referrals. As a Showroom Consultant, you will be welcoming and enthusiastic, dedicated to providing an exceptional experience to every client five days a week, from Monday to Saturday. You will greet all clients and guide them through the process of purchasing the right product for their project. With a friendly, outgoing personality and a desire for a career opportunity to build upon existing sales experience, you will be an excellent representative for BGS, helping to grow the business while assisting clients in finding their ideal and unique product packages and solutions.

Requirements

  • Minimum Grade 12 education required
  • Candidates should possess a minimum of two years’ sales experience
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly learn new systems
  • Must work Saturdays
  • Have reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

  • Basics of design and interior decorating is an asset
  • Knowledge of the plumbing & lighting products would be considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Develop and retain strong relationships with a wide range of customers, including builders, designers, contractors and homeowners
  • Assess customers’ needs, guiding their product selection and purchase
  • Respond to inquiries with accurate pricing, inventory, and delivery information.
  • Handle special orders, requests, issues/concerns with enthusiasm and efficiency
  • Provide quotes for clients and follow ups
  • Examine and resolve customer issues, address short payments, and returns in a timely fashion
  • Continually improve product knowledge and stay up to date on the latest trends and innovative technology
  • Maintain product displays and literature to ensure most current information is available to customers
  • Conduct after sales service with customers
  • Work closely with others (clients, suppliers, co-workers) in a professional, cooperative, and positive manner
  • Promote the Bartle & Gibson showrooms through social media platforms
  • Maintain general cleanliness of the showroom
  • Attend industry events
  • Other duties as required
