About The Position

Maintain and repair Tyson buildings, grounds, and vehicles. Tasks include landscaping, painting, snow removal, vehicle maintenance and repair, lawn care, snow removal, pipe insulating, janitorial, concrete work and upkeep. May require use of heavy tools. Ability to perform work in various body positions from heights on ladders, catwalks, lifts, scaffolding and stairs. Environmental temperatures are seasonal and range of -20° to an excess of 95°F. Must be available to work weekends, holidays and over time as needed. Requires the ability to read and comprehend printed information to repair equipment and use cleaners, solvents, paints and other chemicals. Must be able and willing to walk and stand 8-12 hours on hard floors; able to work around the sight and smell of meat (pork) and all other products present when processing meats. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or 1-year of on-the-job training in a related field.
  • One years’ experience or education in at least two (2) of the following building maintenance areas: Carpentry, Concrete pour and finish, Vehicle repair, Pipe insulation, Painting Plumbing.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Candidates must complete their 90-day probationary period to be eligible.
  • Must have three (3) points or fewer and maintain three (3) points or fewer to remain in their position (UKG attendance policy update).
  • Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
