About The Position

UrgentVet - Upper St. Clair is seeking a Short Term Stay Veterinarian to join their team in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This role bridges the gap between general practice and emergency care, offering after-hours services for canine and feline patients without the high costs of emergency clinics. The position involves single-doctor shifts focused on common urgent cases such as wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia. Clinics are paperless, equipped with cloud-based EMR, digital x-ray, and in-house IDEXX lab equipment. This role is ideal for full-time veterinarians seeking a change of pace or location, relief veterinarians desiring more stability, seasoned veterinarians looking to slow down while staying clinically sharp, or those seeking flexibility for travel or to 'try before you buy' without restrictive non-competes.

Requirements

• DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA accredited college (or successful completion of the ECFVG or PAVE program)
• Active license in good standing to practice in the state in which candidate will be employed (or the ability to obtain a license in that state)
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience strongly preferred
• Comfort in adapting to new clinical environments and team structures
• Strong communication and a collaborative mindset
