About The Position

UrgentVet - McCandless is seeking a Short Term Stay Veterinarian to join their team in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This role bridges the gap between general practice and emergency care, offering after-hours services for common urgent cases like wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia for canine and feline patients, without the high cost of emergency clinics. The clinics are paperless, equipped with cloud-based EMR, digital x-ray, and IDEXX in-house lab equipment. This position is ideal for full-time W2 doctors seeking a change of pace or location, relief doctors desiring more stability, seasoned veterinarians looking to slow down while keeping skills sharp, or those wanting flexibility to travel or 'try before you buy' without non-compete clauses. The role emphasizes clinical practice with minimal administrative tasks, offering flexibility in scheduling and locations, with supported housing and travel.
