We are seeking a Short-Term Disability Analyst to join our Disability Team. This role is responsible for investigating and managing short-term disability and absence claims to make timely, accurate, and customer-focused benefit determinations. The Ability Analyst partners with customers, medical providers, employers, and internal stakeholders to evaluate eligibility, support recovery, and facilitate a safe return to work. Using medical, vocational, financial, and functional information, the Ability Analyst manages claims through decision points while adhering to corporate standards, policies, procedures, and all applicable statutory, regulatory, and ethical requirements. Claim complexity may vary and may include working with customers experiencing behavioral health conditions, complex medical diagnoses, or terminal illness. The Ability Analyst supports the organization’s mission of helping customers rebuild their lives after an unexpected illness or event by delivering empathetic service, sound decision-making, and consistent claim management throughout the short-term disability lifecycle. This role can have a Hybrid or Remote work schedule. Candidates near an office location are expected to work in the office 3 days a week. Candidates not near an office will have a remote schedule, with occasional office visits as business needs arise.
