About The Position

The Short Cycle Press/Saw Machine Operator performs production activities related to laminate flooring. The role involves safely and efficiently operating bonding line equipment, including presses, saws, and associated machinery; tracking raw materials and orders using a computer; producing orders according to plan; inspecting and monitoring materials for quality; and maintaining and cleaning equipment. The position works a rotating shift schedule that may include weekends and holidays.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D. certificate.
• Basic computer skills, including the ability to use programs to input, monitor, research, and log issues, and track orders according to customer requirements.
• Ability to set up, operate, troubleshoot, and adjust presses and other equipment throughout the plant.
• Keen attention to detail and the ability to perform visual and manual material inspections for quality.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position.
• Excellent attendance record.
• Availability to work a rotating shift schedule, which may include weekends and holidays.

• Previous mechanical experience.
