Requirements

• A good understanding of automotive parts and basic mechanical skills is crucial for dismantling and part identification.
• Proficiency in operating machinery is often a core requirement.
• The ability to perform physically demanding tasks is essential.
• A keen eye for valuable components and a commitment to accuracy in inventory and sorting are necessary.
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team is important for success in a dynamic environment.

• A valid driver's license is often required.

Responsibilities

• Dismantle and process vehicles to extract reusable parts or process scrap materials, which can involve draining fluids, removing components, and sorting metals.
• Safely operate heavy machinery such as forklifts, loaders, cranes, and material handlers to move materials around the yard.
• Keep the yard clean, organized, and safe by performing general maintenance and housekeeping tasks.
• Track and manage parts and materials, ensuring accurate records are kept.
• Assist customers with locating and purchasing parts.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, handle hazardous materials appropriately, and follow environmental regulations.
