About The Position

Plan and conduct all work activities with safety as their priority. Observe and be knowledgeable of all safety regulations and procedures. Maintain a clean and orderly working environment. This role involves various welding and fabrication tasks, including air arching, air slicing, torch operations, preheating, post-heating, crack repair, basic buildup, dual shield welding, teardown and rebuild of hard iron parts, welding with positioners, and brazing. The welder will also be responsible for grinding preparation, maintaining a clean workspace, and ensuring scrap metals are picked up. Additionally, the role requires reading and understanding blueprints and using measuring tools.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct all work activities with safety as their priority.
  • Observe and be knowledgeable of all safety regulations and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly working environment.
  • Perform air arching and air slicing.
  • Operate track torch, perform scarfing, and use straight tip torch.
  • Perform preheat and post heat operations.
  • Conduct crack repair and basic buildup.
  • Perform welding and fabrication.
  • Conduct dual shield welding with 1/16 and 3/32 wire.
  • Teardown and rebuild hard iron parts.
  • Weld parts using positioners.
  • Weld buildup parts for machining with no slag inclusions.
  • Perform brazing.
  • Perform bronze wire and nickel wire buildup.
  • Inspect and write up incoming jobs.
  • Read and use all types of measuring tools (tape measures, calipers, micrometers).
  • Read and understand blueprints.
  • Perform grinding preparation for weld.
  • Keep personal area clean and dump garbage.
  • Keep scrap metals picked up.
  • Follow safety protocol.
  • Maintain equipment in good working order.
