About The Position

Palco Power Systems, a subsidiary of Scott Electric Company, has an immediate opening for a professional Shop Technician at our Jeannette, PA, branch. Requirements

Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Electrical Generators
Electrical and mechanical background
Possess a valid Driver's License and clean driving record

Nice To Haves

Commercial Driver's License
Welding Experience
Must submit a background check and drug testing

Responsibilities

Read Schematics and be able to troubleshoot electrical circuits
Modify generators – conduit, liquid tight
Wiring Lights, light switches, receptacles, space heaters, load centers, block heaters, and strip
Perform load banks
Change voltage and solenoid coils
Change or add main line breakers
Cut panels
Straighten and paint panels on damaged generators
Install user interface covers on transfer switches
Repair and change engines
Welding and fabricating
Proficient with plasma cutter, portable band, jig saw, reciprocating saw, hole saw, and knockout punch
Cut, thread, and install black pipe
Drive forklift to load/unload trucks
