About The Position

The Shop Technician Specialist-Receiving position is responsible for prepping outbound shows in our warehouses. This role involves pulling and staging equipment from the warehouse for outbound shows, preparing and returning show equipment, and packaging and labeling items appropriately for transportation or based on show requirements. The specialist will work with operations to ensure proper substitutions or shortages, receive sub-rented items into order to ensure fulfillment, and create shipping manifests or carnets prior to shipping. This position also requires the ability to run a department within the warehouse, assist in pushing equipment to various docking stations for outbound delivery, and loading/unloading trucks. Additionally, the role involves restocking delivered equipment in various locations throughout the warehouse, documenting service in the inventory system, and reporting all damaged equipment to operations. The specialist will also keep detailed records of maintenance, QC, and items entered into repair. Other duties may be assigned by the Director of Operations.

Requirements

  • Positive Attitude and ability to work independently.
  • Attention to detail, ability to multitask, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds on a frequent basis.
  • Ability to spend long periods of time standing or moving in a 70,000+ square foot warehouse.
  • Physical activities include using hand tools, bending, stooping, lifting, climbing stairs, carrying, walking and/or reaching on a frequent basis.
  • Certified to drive sit down and standup forklift.
