About The Position
As Shop Technician I, you’ll be a key part of daily operations at our East Coast manufacturing facility. This role requires confidence working with woodshop tools and millwork equipment, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety, speed, and consistency. You’ll be hands-on across every step of the production process. From drying and milling final fabrication, you’ll be part of a tight-knit team focused on delivering high-quality, Carbon Smart Wood™ products.
Requirements
- Experienced with shop tools and industrial equipment, and comfortable in a woodshop or factory environment.
- Experience in woodworking or construction.
- Prioritize safety and follow protocols consistently.
- Move with urgency and stay focused in high-output environments.
- Produce high-quality work and spot issues before they become problems.
- Follow through on tasks, communicate clearly, and take pride in doing your part well.
- Reliable teammate who contributes to shop rhythm and morale—no ego, just good work.
- Detail-oriented when handling one-off or custom builds, and able to follow prototyping instructions precisely.

Responsibilities
- Support the Senior Shop Manager with day-to-day shop operations, order fulfillment, fabrication, and inventory movement.
- Operate woodshop tools and millwork equipment such as table saws, planers, sanders, gang rips, and jointers to process raw boards into finished goods.
- Load and unload lumber, organize materials, and stage inventory to keep production flowing efficiently.
- Package, label, and prepare finished orders for shipping, ensuring all items meet quality standards.
- Follow safety protocols, daily task lists, and standard operating procedures to maintain a clean and hazard-free shop.
- Assist with R&D and prototyping tasks by fabricating product samples or components based on provided specs or mockups.
- Contribute to a team culture that values hustle, consistency, and accountability.
