About The Position

MRC Global serves the oil and gas industry across the upstream, midstream and downstream sectors as well as the chemical and gas distribution market sectors worldwide. Job Purpose Help maintain the successful operation of the fabrication shop. Maximize production and create quality products for our customers. Adhere to all written procedures and all safety standards.

Requirements

High school diploma or a GED (General Education Degree).
Vo-Tech Training or equal experience in welding and fabrication.
Must have a current, valid driver’s license and an acceptable record at all times.

Nice To Haves

Three years’ experience preferred but will consider other applicants.
Overhead crane and sit-down forklift experience preferred.
Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.
Must be able to complete fabrication certification after training.

Responsibilities

Fabricate new parts for customers.
Perform basic maintenance on machinery.
Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on facility machinery.
Write and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
Complete daily maintenance and repair logs.
Load and unload pipe.
Palletize products for shipping.
Support and Assist VEMC.
Maintain and secure work tools.
Clean and maintain the work area.
Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
Communicate with the shop lead for the daily workload.
Provide on-the-job training to new employees.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Be available for on-call after-hours service.
Communicate with the sales team on existing and upcoming projects.
Perform quality control procedures.
Take reasonable care for the safety and health of yourself and others, and report workplace hazards, injuries, or illnesses immediately.
