The Opportunity Lonestar Forklift is looking for a mechanically skilled Shop Technician (Heavy Equipment or Automotive Mechanic) to join our team in Houston, Texas . As the Shop Technician, you will be responsible for completing a variety of heavy equipment repair tasks required by our loyal customers.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of heavy equipment or automotive repair experience in a related industry
• Relevant Trade Certification
• High school diploma
• Valid driver’s license

Nice To Haves

• Experience with hydraulics and diagnosing and servicing electric engines is a strong asset
• Previous aerial platform and lift truck experience an asset
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to partner effectively with external customers and internal stakeholders
• Excellent problem-solving skills and strong aptitude for learning and applying mechanical and technical concepts
• Strong work ethic and a positive attitude

Responsibilities

• Performing mechanical maintenance on a variety of material handling equipment and machinery
• Diagnosing and completing equipment repairs in a timely manner, providing a variety of repair options that best meet customer needs
• Tracking parts for ongoing service jobs
• Completing work order forms
• Communicating with the Shop Coordinator, Shop Lead, Service Manager, and Technical Support Center regarding service jobs and repair needs
• Proactively identifying maintenance and repair opportunities for equipment
