About The Position

HiFyve is hiring a Heavy Equipment Shop Technician in Lubbock, TX. This role involves diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining heavy construction equipment, components, and related systems. The technician will develop repair plans, determine necessary parts and materials, and perform mechanical repairs safely with quality assurance testing. Responsibilities include completing service reports and work orders accurately, communicating repair status to supervisors, and performing repairs on diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, brakes, suspension, and other heavy equipment systems. The role also requires proper operation and maintenance of shop equipment and tools, maintaining a safe and organized work area, and caring for company assets.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Relevant hands-on technical education or training may be considered in combination with applicable experience.

Nice To Haves

• Associate Degree in Diesel Technology, Equipment Technology, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heavy construction equipment, components, and related systems.
• Develop repair plans and determine the necessary parts, materials, and tooling needed to complete each job.
• Perform mechanical repairs safely and conduct appropriate quality assurance testing following repairs.
• Complete service reports, work orders, parts requests, tooling records, and other required documentation accurately and on time.
• Communicate repair status, findings, and progress with supervisors throughout the repair process.
• Perform repairs involving diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulics, brakes, suspension, and other heavy equipment systems.
• Properly operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, cranes, compressors, and other shop equipment.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area while following established safety policies and procedures.
• Properly care for company tools, equipment, vehicles, and other assigned assets.
