VVG is looking for a Shop Support to join our team in Whittier, CA for following hours: Monday-Friday between 7:00am-3:30pm!

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or its equivalent required.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple demands. Prioritize, and stay organized. Able to work well in a process driven fast environment.
  • Desire to become a technician and mechanical aptitude.
  • Self-motivated and self-starter, Positive attitude
  • Must have valid Class B Driver’s License
  • Ability to understand and adhere to Company Policies in all areas.
  • Basic Technical Understanding
  • Ability to follow all written and oral instructions, Attention to Detail, Dependability, Verbal Communication, Documentation Skills, Inventory Control, Job Knowledge
  • Ability to always implement and work in a strong safety environment.
  • Ability to work alone with little or no direction at times.
  • Ability to lift a Maximum of 75lbs.
  • Must be able to pass post offer drug test, physical and background check

Nice To Haves

  • Post-Secondary vocational education strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains the wash rags and steam clean bay used in pressure washes.
  • Drain the oil pan carts into the oil waste barrels.
  • Monitors tools check in and check out procedure.
  • Manages day-to-day operations of the tool room.
  • Assists with special projects in the shop such as foot printing.
  • Performs special cleaning projects and job-related duties as assigned and needed.
