About The Position

Astro Pak is the nation's leading precision cleaning and passivation contractor specializing in on-site cleaning of high purity gas and fluid systems, as well as precision cleaning of components and hardware at the company’s Cleanroom facilities. Astro Pak provides services to over 15 sectors including: Data Centers, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, Aerospace, Semiconductor, and other selected Industrial markets. The company, founded in 1959, has performed on-site precision chemical cleaning in every State of the Union as well as several projects in Asia, continental Europe, England, Ireland and Mexico. Astro Pak is looking for an experienced Shop Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of our industrial cleaning and maintenance facility. In this role, you'll lead shop personnel, coordinate workflow, maintain equipment, ensure safety compliance, and help deliver exceptional service to our customers. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience leading shop, manufacturing, industrial, or maintenance operations
  • Experience managing shop workflow, schedules, equipment, and personnel
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and OSHA compliance
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and wear required PPE, including respirators when necessary

Nice To Haves

  • Technical training or Associate degree
  • OSHA Certification
  • HAZWOPER and/or Confined Space certifications
  • Valid DOT Medical Certificate

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily shop operations and assign work to technicians
  • Coordinate schedules to ensure customer deadlines are met
  • Oversee receiving, shipping, and processing of customer equipment
  • Maintain shop equipment, vehicles, trailers, and facility systems
  • Order shop materials, chemicals, and operating supplies
  • Ensure all job documentation is accurate and completed on time
  • Perform and oversee preventive maintenance on shop equipment
  • Lead monthly safety inspections and maintain OSHA compliance
  • Maintain a clean, organized shop using 5S principles
  • Support shop production by performing hands-on work as needed
  • Partner with Operations, vendors, subcontractors, and customers to keep projects moving
