About The Position

This role focuses on getting equipment ready before it reaches the customer, emphasizing quality, precision, and doing things the right way. It involves equipment setup, inspection, and quality control in a controlled, detail-driven environment. Technicians will work on a wide range of equipment including excavators, dozers, loaders, paving equipment, and attachments, performing hands-on assembly, configuration, and functional testing. The position offers a team environment with strong support from technicians, parts, and service teams, clear processes, and a collaborative, quality-focused culture. Requirements

  • 1–3 years of heavy equipment or mechanical experience (or technical degree)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Ability to follow specifications and complete inspections accurately
  • Basic computer skills (inspection/reporting systems)
  • Ability to work independently and stay organized

Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-delivery inspections (PDI) on new and used equipment
  • Assemble, install, and adjust components, attachments, and accessories
  • Inspect mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Identify and correct setup issues or deficiencies
  • Verify fluids, configurations, and system readiness
  • Operate equipment to perform functional checks
  • Complete inspection reports and documentation
  • Prepare equipment to meet Milton CAT quality standards
  • Support rental fleet preparation as needed
