The Shop Service Technician will be responsible for repairing, diagnosing, inspecting, and maintaining various types of aerial and earth-moving equipment, primarily servicing equipment in one of our shop locations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Industrial, vocational, or mechanical training is a plus
• Mechanical maintenance and/or equipment servicing certifications a plus
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a mechanic repairing and maintaining construction equipment
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant driving experience
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record
• Knowledge of heavy equipment, specifically excavators, forklifts, and compactors
• Prolonged standing, sitting, walking, climbing, balancing, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching (with arms and hands), handling, talking, hearing, depth perception, lifting, vision (close, peripheral, depth, ability to adjust focus), and lifting/moving up to 35+ pounds

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs, diagnostics, inspections, and overall maintenance of the company’s equipment inventory.
• Ensure safety, quality control, and environmental protection programs are followed throughout all services.
• Demonstrate ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics.
• Proficiently utilize and leverage tools and solutions to accomplish tasks independently without direct supervision.
• Proficiently complete thorough and accurate annual inspections.
• Demonstrate knowledge of troubleshooting various equipment product lines.
• Deliver excellent customer service and demonstrate high-level communication skills; Foster and ensure cooperative and collaborative partner relationships; Maintain a positive attitude.
