About The Position

This role is for specialists who take pride in fabrication, structural repairs, and precision welding—the work that keeps equipment strong and job-ready. If you enjoy building, repairing, and solving structural challenges, this is where your skills stand out. You will play a key role in repairing and rebuilding equipment structures and components. This is a specialized, high-skill work focusing on welding, fabrication, and structural repair on complex components like booms, sticks, and attachments. It is not repetitive production work, and every job is different. You will work on heavy equipment like Caterpillar machines and attachments, performing real-world repairs that extend equipment life and performance. You will work alongside experienced technicians and service teams, with strong support from parts and leadership, and collaboration across departments. Requirements

  • Welding and/or fabrication experience (heavy equipment preferred)
  • Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and schematics
  • Strong understanding of welding materials and methods
  • Solid mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Basic computer skills
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record
  • Your own tools

Nice To Haves

  • Machining, line boring, or heavy equipment experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform welding processes including Stick, MIG, and Flux
  • Fabricate and repair equipment and attachments
  • Complete layout, measurements, and fabrication from prints and drawings
  • Create patterns or layouts when drawings are not available
  • Perform structural repairs on major components (booms, sticks, etc.)
  • Select proper materials and welding methods based on repair requirements
  • Set up and maintain welding and fabrication equipment
  • Assist with general equipment repairs and component installation when needed
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
