The Shop Service Technician III is responsible for conducting all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental, and contamination control policies, procedures, and regulations, and wearing proper personal protective equipment. This role requires maintaining a minimum set of tools for job performance to diagnose, disassemble, and assemble components to manufacturer’s specifications. The technician must attend and successfully complete required technician training classes. Key duties include diagnosing and performing designated repairs on customer or company-owned equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs. The role also involves working in the assigned area in a neat and orderly fashion, constantly looking for ways to improve methods, work area, and safety standards. Researching repair needs, ordering parts, and completing required documentation using appropriate software to document repairs and account for repair times are also essential. The technician should approach work positively, maintain conduct supportive of the team, and contribute to team efforts by accomplishing tasks on time while maintaining safety and quality expectations. Assisting with maintaining proper facility appearance and shop conditions by following contamination control guidelines, including housekeeping, and performing other general maintenance duties are also part of the role.
