This role involves conducting all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental, and contamination control policies, procedures, and regulations. The technician will wear proper personal protective equipment, attend and complete required training, and maintain a high awareness of applicable technical changes in the industry. Responsibilities include maintaining a necessary set of tools for diagnosing, disassembling, and assembling components to manufacturer's specifications, performing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on customer or company-owned equipment. The technician will work in a neat and orderly fashion, seeking improvements in work methods, work areas, and safety standards, and inspecting components to maximize parts reuse for cost control. Documentation of repairs performed and accounting for repair times using appropriate software is required. The role also involves monitoring job expenses versus repair estimates, ensuring supervisors are aware of any cost overruns, and approaching work positively while maintaining supportive conduct within the team. Contributing to team efforts by accomplishing tasks on time while maintaining safety and quality expectations, and training/mentoring others are also key aspects. Other duties as assigned will be performed.
