The Shop Service Technician II - Heavy Equipment is responsible for conducting all assigned work in a safe manner, adhering to all applicable safety, environmental, and contamination control policies, procedures, and regulations. This role requires attending and completing required technician training, maintaining a necessary set of tools for diagnosing, disassembling, and assembling components to manufacturer's specifications, and performing designated repairs on customer or company-owned equipment. The technician will troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, work in a neat and orderly fashion, and inspect components to control repair costs. Documentation of repairs and job expenses is crucial, along with monitoring costs against estimates and informing supervisors of any overruns. The role also involves contributing to team efforts, training and mentoring others, and performing other duties as assigned.
