About The Position

Classic Collision is hiring a Shop Porter to support the daily operation and upkeep of its auto body shop. The role includes maintaining clean and orderly office, production, parking, and grounds areas; assisting the detail department as needed; driving company and customer vehicles for errands, parts pickup, and vehicle pickup and delivery; and performing minor equipment or building maintenance. The Porter also helps protect and secure vehicles and their keys. The position is paid $18–$21 per hour, depending on experience.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have a valid driver's license.
Strong communication skills to communicate effectively with the Classic Collision team and customers.
Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Maintain daily housekeeping of the front office, including emptying garbage cans, cleaning floors, and dusting.
Help in the detail department when needed.
Maintain daily housekeeping of the production area, including emptying waste cans, sweeping floors, disposing of unwanted parts, helping clean spray booths, and returning tools and equipment to their proper locations.
Drive company vehicles for shop errands or parts pickup, and drive customer vehicles for pickup and delivery.
Keep parking lots and grounds neat and orderly.
Perform minor equipment and building maintenance or repairs when necessary.
Ensure vehicles are protected from inclement weather.
Secure vehicles and keep vehicle keys separate and secure.
Perform other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the business.
