About The Position
Classic Collision is hiring an Auto Body Shop Porter. The role supports shop operations by maintaining clean and orderly office, production, and exterior areas; assisting the detail department as needed; driving company and customer vehicles; and carrying out minor maintenance and other duties required to meet business needs. Classic Collision describes its mission as putting safety, quality, integrity, and heart into every vehicle repaired and customer served.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Strong communication skills to communicate effectively with the Classic Collision team and customers.
- Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Maintain daily housekeeping in the front office, including emptying garbage cans, cleaning floors, and dusting.
- Help in the detail department when needed.
- Maintain daily housekeeping in the production area, including emptying waste cans, sweeping floors, disposing of unwanted parts, assisting in cleaning spray booths, and returning tools and equipment to their proper locations.
- Drive company vehicles on shop errands or to pick up parts, and drive customer vehicles to pick up and deliver cars.
- Keep parking lots and grounds neat and orderly.
- Perform minor equipment and building maintenance or repairs when necessary.
- Protect all cars from inclement weather.
- Secure vehicles and keep vehicle keys separate and secure.
- Perform other duties as assigned to meet the needs of the business.
