About The Position
Luther Mazda of Kansas City is seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Shop Porter/Parts Department Driver. This role plays a vital part in supporting the efficient operation of our service and parts departments by maintaining a clean and organized shop environment and ensuring timely delivery of parts within the dealership and to customers. As a Service Runner you will assist with a variety of driving-related tasks in the Service Department including transporting vehicles to assigned technicians, moving them through the car wash, and positioning them for customer pick-up. Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to drive safely in various weather and traffic conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and moving automotive parts and equipment.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
- Excellent time management skills and attention to detail while working under tight timelines
- Willingness to follow direction while working independently
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time in all weather conditions
- Ability to drive both automatic and standard transmission vehicles

- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service shop, including washing and moving vehicles as needed.
- Transport parts between the parts department, service department, and external locations as directed.
- Assist with loading and unloading parts shipments.
- Support service technicians by ensuring vehicles and equipment are ready for use.
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies while driving and working in the shop.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with staff and customers.
- Transporting vehicles to assigned technicians, moving them through the car wash, and positioning them for customer pick-up.
