About The Position

The Shop Mechanic performs advanced mechanical functions for a designated district under minimal supervision. The role maintains and repairs a variety of oilfield-related equipment, including diesel engines, heavy trucks, pumping equipment, and lifting equipment, under general supervision. Work includes preventive and corrective maintenance, failure analysis, diagnostics, repairs, inspections, and assembling or rebuilding equipment and components such as engines, power trains, hydraulics, fuel systems, power generation systems, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

Maintain, diagnose, and repair a wide range of oilfield-related equipment, including engines, transmissions, pumps, winches, compressors, cranes, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, generators, electrical systems, chassis, tires, forklifts, and pressure equipment.
Execute procedures for preventive maintenance.
Perform inspections required by the company and government entities.
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Repair and refurbish hydraulic power equipment.
Read and follow repair manuals and perform repairs specified in them.
Read and interpret basic measuring equipment.
Operate and maintain power equipment.
Order parts for equipment with prior approval.
Install or replace new or reconditioned repair parts.
Perform basic equipment testing to verify proper operation.
Operate lifting devices.
Complete assigned paperwork.
Assist other maintenance employees as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
