About The Position

The Shop Mechanic is directly responsible for the overall maintenance of the Titan Energy Services fleet and for maintaining a clean and safe environment in the shop. The position requires a commitment to understanding and exhibiting Titan’s Mission and Core Values, following safety rules, federal and state laws and regulations as well as representing the company in a professional, courteous manner at all times.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience working independently in a shop environment, repairing and maintaining equipment
  • Successful completion and passing of company drug screen and background check
  • Ability to lift or stand for long periods of time and must be able to lift and carry 75 to 100 lbs.
  • Experience with diesel engines required
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills to find the source of problems
  • Ability to work with hand tools, precision and other equipment
  • Knowledge/experience with DOT inspections, rules and regulations

Nice To Haves

  • Oilfield and/or hydraulic experience preferred
  • Ability to operate independently as well as work together in a positive team environment
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule when needed

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and general repairs on truck mounted oilfield service equipment, hydraulic components, heavy trucks, and yellow iron
  • Oversee the performance and development of the Maintenance Assistant by providing instruction, evaluating work quality, and fostering a productive and safety-focused work environment.
  • Promote safety awareness in the shop
  • Follow company and OSHA quality, health, safety, and environmental regulations, policies and procedures
  • Reinforce the preventative maintenance practices and execute standardized checks on equipment
  • Develop and train field staff for basic troubleshooting and inspection practices
  • Develop procedures and proper protocols for hydraulic work on machinery and equipment in shop
  • Manage fluid selection and protocol for all units fleet wide
  • Visually inspect equipment for proper performance and detect faults and malfunctions, using diagnostic testing as needed
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other routine and preventative maintenance
  • Troubleshoot and maintenance of machinery and ancillary equipment in the shop or on field location
  • Ensure cost-effective usage of all equipment, supplies, and tools in shop
  • General housekeeping duties such as trash removal, floor sweeping, or snow removal
  • Other projects as assigned by management
