About The Position

Pape’ Machinery, Inc.’s Agriculture & Turf Division is hiring a Shop Mechanic in Fallon, Nevada. The role works in the shop on all makes and models of agricultural equipment, ensuring repairs are completed accurately and on time to support customers and maximize equipment uptime. The mechanic analyzes and diagnoses equipment malfunctions and failures, then repairs, replaces, or rebuilds a range of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and air-system components. The role also assists with pre-delivery setup and installation of John Deere equipment and allied products. Requirements

At least 2 years of working knowledge of small engines and agricultural equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and air-conditioning systems.
Team-oriented personality and the ability to work without direct supervision.
Basic computer knowledge.
Self-motivation and assertiveness.
Must provide own tools.
Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

Analyze and diagnose agricultural equipment malfunctions or failures.
Repair, replace, or rebuild engines, transmissions, carburetors, final drives, steering, clutches, cross shafts, hydraulic components, electrical systems, air systems, and related components.
Assist with pre-delivery setup and installation of John Deere equipment and allied products.
Complete equipment repairs accurately and in a timely manner to support customers and maximize equipment uptime.
