About The Position

Take 5 Oil Change is hiring a Shop Manager to lead a shop location and help deliver efficient oil changes and light vehicle maintenance. Experience is valued but not required; the company provides paid training in shop management, oil changes, replacing wiper blades and air filters, tire inflation, and other light maintenance services. The role includes leading the crew to meet Take 5 standards, managing shop operations and inventory, and providing excellent customer service. The posting notes experienced managers can earn $55,000 or more per year through base salary and bonus opportunities.

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3-foot-deep pit to position safely under cars.
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning for extended periods.
• Willingness to work in hot or cold weather conditions if necessary.
• Reliable transportation to and from the shop.
• Willingness to work early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion.
• Basic computer operating skills.

Nice To Haves

• Management or leadership experience is valued but not required.
• Experience in oil change shops, restaurants, retail, or other businesses may be relevant; no experience is necessary.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, onboard, and train new crew members.
• Create crew schedules and submit payroll.
• Control inventory, including conducting End of Period (EOP) and End of Year (EOY) inventory.
• Place product orders and physically restock inventory as necessary.
• Understand the shop’s financials, drive results, and use the budget wisely.
• Conduct quarterly employee evaluations.
• Support crew members with duties such as changing oil and performing other auto services.
• Drain motor oil, change oil filters, and perform other auto services as necessary.
• Provide excellent customer service.
