About The Position
Take 5 Oil Change is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Shop Manager to lead our team at Shop#188 located at 7626 Culebra Rd. This role is ideal for individuals who are people-oriented, driven, and possess strong leadership qualities. While experience is valued, it is not strictly required, as we offer comprehensive paid training and a clear growth path from Pit Tech to President. Many of our successful leaders started with no prior experience in the automotive industry. This is an opportunity to showcase your leadership skills and contribute to a growing team in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift to fifty (50) pounds.
- Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3’ deep pit to position yourself safely under cars.
- Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning.
- Must be willing to work in hot/cold weather conditions if necessary.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the shop.
- Must be willing to work early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion.
- Must have basic computer operating skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a manager in oil change shops, restaurants, retail stores, or other businesses is valued but not required.
Responsibilities
- Recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new crew members.
- Creating crew schedules and submitting payroll.
- Controlling inventory: Conduct End of Period (EOP) and End of Year (EOY) inventory.
- Placing product orders and physically restocking inventory as necessary.
- Understanding the shop’s financials to drive results and utilize budget wisely.
- Conducting quarterly employee evaluations.
- Supporting crew members with duties such as changing oil and performing other auto services.
- Drain motor oil, change oil filters, and perform other auto services as necessary.
- Providing excellent customer service.
