About The Position
Take 5 Oil Change is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Shop Manager to lead one of our oil change locations. We are a growing company with a strong emphasis on internal promotion and employee development. While experience is valued, it is not strictly required, and we offer comprehensive paid training for all new managers. This role offers the opportunity to manage a team, oversee daily operations, and contribute to the financial success of the shop. We pride ourselves on efficient service that allows customers to remain in their vehicles.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
- Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3’ deep pit to position yourself safely under cars.
- Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods of time and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning.
- Must be willing to work in hot/cold weather conditions if necessary.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the shop.
- Must be willing to work early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion.
- Must have basic computer operating skills.
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a leader in other oil change shops, restaurants, retail stores, or other businesses.
- Experience as a server, restaurant worker, mechanic, retail employee, landscaper, or other skilled trade worker.
Responsibilities
- Recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new crew members.
- Creating crew schedules and submitting payroll.
- Controlling inventory, including conducting End of Period (EOP) and End of Year (EOY) inventory.
- Placing product orders and physically restocking inventory.
- Understanding the shop’s financials to drive results and manage the budget.
- Conducting quarterly employee evaluations.
- Supporting crew members with duties such as changing oil, replacing wiper blades/air filters, and filling air in tires.
- Performing auto services such as draining motor oil and changing oil filters.
- Providing excellent customer service.
