About The Position

Take 5 Oil Change is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Shop Manager to lead our team at Shop#882. We are a well-established oil change service provider with over 35 years of experience, known for our friendly technicians, efficient service, and the convenience of staying in your vehicle. We offer a clear growth path, with over 90% of our field leaders promoted internally. This role is ideal for individuals with strong leadership potential, whether they have prior experience in the automotive industry or transferable skills from other sectors like retail, restaurants, or customer service. We provide comprehensive paid training to ensure your success in managing a Take 5 location and performing essential automotive services.

Requirements

• Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds
• Ability to maneuver in and out of a shallow 3’ deep pit to position safely under cars
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, etc. for extended periods and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning
• Willingness to work in hot/cold weather conditions
• Reliable transportation to and from the shop
• Willingness to work early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion
• Basic computer operating skills

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience as a Shop Manager
• Experience in the oil change industry
• Leadership experience in restaurants, retail, or other businesses

Responsibilities

• Recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training new crew members
• Creating crew schedules and submitting payroll
• Controlling inventory, including conducting End of Period (EOP) and End of Year (EOY) inventory assessments
• Placing product orders and physically restocking inventory
• Managing the shop's financials to drive results and adhere to budget
• Conducting quarterly employee evaluations
• Supporting crew members with duties such as changing oil and performing other auto services
• Performing auto services including draining motor oil and changing oil filters
• Providing excellent customer service
