About The Position

Take 5 Oil Change is hiring a Shop Manager to lead a shop location and ensure the team follows Take 5 standards for oil changes and other light maintenance services. Experience is valued but not required; paid training is provided. The role includes managing employees and shop operations, supporting the crew with automotive services, and delivering excellent customer service. Experienced managers may earn $55,000 or more per year through base salary and bonus opportunities. The position may require working early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion.

Requirements

• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to maneuver in and out of a shallow, 3-foot-deep pit to position safely under cars.
• Able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning for extended periods.
• Willing to work in hot or cold weather conditions when necessary.
• Reliable transportation to and from the shop.
• Willing to work early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion.
• Basic computer operating skills.

Nice To Haves

• Management or leadership experience is valued but not required; experience in oil change shops, restaurants, retail, or other businesses may be relevant.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, onboard, and train new crew members.
• Create crew schedules and submit payroll.
• Control inventory, including conducting End of Period and End of Year inventory.
• Place product orders and physically restock inventory as needed.
• Understand the shop’s financials, drive results, and use the budget wisely.
• Conduct quarterly employee evaluations.
• Support crew members by changing oil and performing other auto services.
• Drain motor oil, change oil filters, and perform other auto services as necessary.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Ensure the team executes Take 5 standards for oil changes, wiper blade and air filter replacement, tire inflation, and other light maintenance services.
