About The Position

Take 5 Oil Change is hiring a Shop Manager to lead a shop location and support its crew. The company provides paid training in its management practices, oil changes, wiper blade and air filter replacement, tire inflation, and other light maintenance services. Experience is valued but not required; candidates without experience may also ask about Assistant Manager or Manager-in-Training opportunities. Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to maneuver in and out of a shallow, 3-foot-deep pit to position safely under cars.
• Must be able to walk, stand, bend, stoop, twist, and perform activities involving holding, grasping, pulling, and turning for extended periods.
• Must be willing to work in hot or cold weather conditions if necessary.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the shop.
• Must be willing to work early hours and up to 55 hours per week on occasion.
• Must have basic computer operating skills.

Nice To Haves

• Management or leadership experience is valued but not required.
• Experience in oil change shops, restaurants, retail stores, mechanics, landscaping, or other skilled trades may be relevant.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, onboard, and train new crew members.
• Create crew schedules and submit payroll.
• Control inventory, including conducting End of Period (EOP) and End of Year (EOY) inventory.
• Place product orders and physically restock inventory as necessary.
• Understand the shop’s financials, drive results, and use the budget wisely.
• Conduct quarterly employee evaluations.
• Support crew members with duties such as changing oil and performing other auto services.
• Drain motor oil, change oil filters, and perform other auto services as necessary.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Lead the team in executing Take 5 standards for oil changes, wiper blade and air filter replacement, tire inflation, and other light maintenance services.
