About The Position

Shop Maintenance Technicians maintain the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of dealership facilities. The role requires attention to detail, reliability, proactive problem-solving, and a commitment to keeping the shop organized, well-maintained, and operational in support of daily business activities. The position works Tuesday through Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with a one-hour lunch break. Hours may be adjusted as needed for special events or operational requirements.

Requirements

Basic knowledge of facility maintenance, cleaning procedures, tools, and equipment.
Ability to follow safety procedures and company policies.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication skills and willingness to assist others as needed.
Dependable team player with a positive attitude.
Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
Ability to walk, stand, bend, kneel, reach, stoop, crouch, and move for extended periods.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks with hands and arms.
Ability to work safely in a shop environment around equipment and machinery.
Full dexterity and mobility required to operate cleaning equipment and handle tools.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Previous experience in custodial, janitorial, or maintenance roles preferred.

Responsibilities

Sweep, mop, and maintain clean floors throughout the shop and service areas.
Operate powered floor-cleaning equipment, including scrubbers and buffers with rotating brushes.
Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, including mop buckets, and replenish fresh water as needed.
Inspect shop work areas, lifts, toolboxes, and common areas to maintain cleanliness and organization.
Collect, remove, and properly dispose of trash and debris daily, including moving used tires to designated disposal areas.
Monitor facility and equipment conditions and promptly report maintenance needs, repairs, safety hazards, or other issues to management.
Maintain an organized inventory of cleaning materials, janitorial supplies, and equipment.
Follow dealership safety procedures, environmental requirements, and company policies to maintain a safe workplace.
Maintain clean, organized, and professional service department work areas.
Assist with special cleaning projects, event preparation, and event cleanup as assigned.
Contribute to an efficient and productive work environment with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
