About The Position

This position will assist the maintenance department by making and machining parts for various areas across the Greenhouse/Farm.

1-year relevant work experience
Comfortable occasionally working in heights above 6ft
Basic computer skills
Fluency to read, write, and understand the English language
Ability to work in all outdoor elements, including various weather conditions and with dust and allergens
Long-term (up to 8+ hours/day) ability for standing, sitting, squatting, bending, reaching, and twisting on a regular basis
Utilization of fine motor skills, including but not limited to pinching, squeezing, and pulling
Ability to operate all machinery necessary within the department and across the facility, including the ability to obtain required certifications to operate such equipment as necessary
Ability to work at heights over 6 (six) feet
Ability to utilize and communicate via a 2-way radio
Ability to lift 35 pounds unaided, and regularly lift up to 50 pounds with assistance

Knowledge of common hand tools and power tools
Knowledge of precision measurement tools
Experience operating a lathe, milling machine, drill press, or similar machinery
Experience operating or willing to be trained on a forklift
Self-motivated
Welding experience, including mig, stick, and tig welding

Operate milling machine, lathe, drill press and other precision equipment
Ensure an inventory of parts are on hand to shorten down time throughout the facility
Ensure familiar with all areas of the greenhouse for quick response and support
Repair and/or replicate machined parts
Read drawings and be able to recreate exact items from the drawings
Load and unload trucks as needed
Detail notetaking, including but not limited to precise measurements
Update computer systems to view and close work orders
Work with the shop team to maintain and a clean work area
Other duties as assigned by management
