Requirements

High School Diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
Minimum 3 years machining experience.
Minimum 3 years experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Ability to read blueprints, use calipers, micrometers, and tape measures for checking dimensions.
Must be skilled in the operation of lathes, grinding machines, milling machines, drill presses, and surface grinders.
Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal format.
Ability to stand continuously during workshift with or without reasonable accommodation.
Able to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. with assistance with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to function independently in a multi-task environment, as well as part of a team.
Ability to manage multiple and conflicting priorities.
Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment as required by company policy and procedure.

Responsibilities

Able to determine and assess damage to existing tooling and what steps necessary to repair tooling.
Able to determine if Die is dull or cracked and needs to be resharpened or repaired.
Able to determine if the poor quality of a product is the result of a tooling problem, or a setup problem.
Able to Perform Die Changeovers for different products.
